Masters in Paradise

3

The Vanuatu Rowing Association will hold the 2018 “Masters in Paradise” rowing regatta over Sunday 21 and Monday 22 October 2018 on the stunning Erakor Lagoon at Port Vila, Vanuatu.  The inaugural event held in 2014 was a huge success with over 62 rowers from Australia, New Zealand and Vanuatu, as well as another 30 international spectators and officials.  MIP 2015, 2016 and 2017 were also extremely successful with the venue moving to the other end of the lagoon.

A brief writeup of the event by can be seen on the World Rowing website.

Registrations for 2018 are now open, all bookings must be done through our Australian or New Zealand agents, even if you are organising your own flights or accomodation.  Due to boat availability and the desire to keep the event at a more personal size, we are restricting rower numbers to 85.  Because of this we reserve the right to close off entries and/or ballot for the limited places should that be necessary.

While only eight years old, the Vanuatu Rowing Association and the Port Vila Rowing Club has exploded onto the sporting scene in Vanuatu.  While spearheaded by a small number of determined ex-patriots, the club is now dominated by ni-Vanuatu members who can be seen training each morning on the warm and tranquil Erakor Lagoon.
